On Wednesday, October 26, 2016, at approximately 2:11p.m., an unknown male suspect entered the Esso gas station located on Yonge Street in the City of Markham. The suspect obtained fuel for the vehicle and made no attempt to pay. The suspect then returned to his vehicle and was last seen travelling northbound on Yonge Street. The vehicle is described as a white 4door Mercedes-Benz E class.

 

On Thursday, August 25, 2016, at approximately 5:00 p.m., two unknown male suspects entered the Shoppers Drug Mart store located on Markham Road in the City of Markham. They selected several over the counter medications and then concealed them inside a dark coloured duffle bag. The suspects walked past the cashier and exited the store without paying for the concealed items.

  

On Friday, July 15, 2016, at approximately 7:41 p.m., two unknown male suspects entered the Saks Fifth Avenue Off 5TH store located at the Vaughan Mills Mall in the City of Vaughan. Both males approached a watch display case. Suspect #2, not pictured, pried open the lock, reached in and selected two Versace watches. He then placed both items in his pocket and exited the store without paying for the concealed items. Both suspects entered into a vehicle described as either a dark coloured Mazda Tribute or Ford Escape. The vehicle was last seen traveling westbound towards Bass Pro Mills Drive.

On Saturday, August 13, 2016, at approximately 9:00 a.m., an unknown male suspect entered the Walmart Supercentre store located on Silver Linden Drive in the Town of Richmond Hill. The male proceeded to the baby formula section and selected a large quantity of baby formula. He then attended to the diaper section and selected several diapers in order to conceal the baby formula that had been placed in the shopping cart. The male suspect passed several cashiers without attempting to pay for the concealed items. The male suspect exited the store and left in an unknown direction of travel.

On Wednesday, September 7, 2016, at approximately 9:42 p.m., two unknown male suspects entered the Walmart Supercentre store located on Silver Linden Drive in the Town of Richmond Hill. Both suspects attended to the electronics department. One suspect removed a wire cutter from his pocket and then cut the security wire attached to an Apple rose gold iPad Air 2. Both suspects proceeded to the main exit and attempted to remove other security features on the iPad. The alarm was activated; both left the iPad and exited the store. They entered into a white Ford F-150 pickup truck which had a moon roof and cargo cover.

 

Between November 4 and November 11, 2016, an unknown male suspect entered the Zero 20 Kids store located on Pine Valley Drive in the City of Vaughan. The male suspect purchased several clothing items including Canada Goose jackets, snow pants and boots using a fraudulent credit card. The male suspect exited the store and was observed entering a white Ford F-150 pickup truck.

  

 

On Thursday, October 20, 2016, at approximately 4:00 p.m., two unknown suspects entered the Staples store located on Yonge Street in the Town of Newmarket. Both the male and female attended to the rear of the store. The male suspect then proceeded to the webcam display; selected two webcams, one electronic thermostat and returned to the female suspect’s location. She placed the items inside her jacket and then they exited the store without paying for the concealed items.

  

On Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at approximately 1:40 p.m., an unknown female suspect entered the National Sports Centre store located on Davis Drive in the Town of Newmarket. The female suspect attempted to steal two Toronto Blue Jay jerseys by removing the price tags and then placed the items inside her purse. As she proceeded to exit the store, making no attempt to pay for the concealed items, the alarm was activated. The suspect returned the items back into the store and exited.

On Wednesday, September 28, 2016 at midnight, an unknown vehicle entered a commercial plaza located on Riviera Drive in the City of Markham. An unknown male suspect exited the vehicle and grabbed a stone from the ground. He returned to the vehicle and drove to the front area of the plaza. The male suspect used the stone to smash a front glass door. Once inside he removed several computer items. The vehicle is described as either a silver GMC Acadia or Terrain.

 

On Thursday, July 14, 2016 at approximately 5:04 p.m. an unknown male suspect entered the Walmart Supercentre store located on Silver Linden Drive in the Town of Richmond Hill. The male suspect attended the footwear section and replaced his old shoes with new black running shoes. The male suspect then attended to other sections within the store and selected various pieces of clothing. The suspect exited the store making no attempt to pay for any of the items.

 

On September 2, 2016 at approximately 7:45 a.m. an unknown male suspect attended the GO Transit station located at 155 YMCA Blvd. in the City of Markham. The suspect was observed stealing a white Lexus RX 350 from the parking lot.

On October 15, 2016 two unknown suspects broke into the Hydro One Buttonville transformer station located on 16th Avenue in the City of Markham. The two suspects attempted to steal copper from the facility but were scared off by an audible alarm.

On Wednesday, September 7, 2016, at approximately 6:06 p.m. an unknown male suspect entered the Beer Store located on Yonge Street in the Town of Newmarket. A display of Corona beer was located near the front entrance of the store. The male grabbed two cases of Corona beer from the display and ran out of the store without paying for the items.

 

Between August 23 and August 26, 2016, unknown suspect(s) entered the Markham Fair Grounds located on McCowan Road in the City of Markham. The suspect(s) gained entry into several school buses described as 2003 International 3800 models. Two of the buses were equipped with cargo compartments. The suspect(s) drove the vehicles from the fairgrounds and left in an unknown direction of travel.

 

 

On Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at approximately 8:00 p.m., a 2015 white Chrysler 200 4-door sedan entered the parking lot of the Glenwoods Plaza located on Glenwoods Avenue in the Town of Georgina. Three unknown black male suspects inside the vehicle drove up to the victim who voluntarily entered the suspects’ vehicle. Subsequently, the victim was forcibly confined and assaulted inside the car. As the vehicle left the area, the victim managed to escape from the vehicle and the suspects began shooting at the victim as he ran along the area of Catering Road and Ravenshoe Road. The vehicle left the scene in an unknown direction of travel.

 

 

Between the 7and 8 of July, 2016, two unknown male suspects entered the Investments Hardware Limited store located on Rowntree Dairy Road in the City of Vaughan. The suspects made several fraudulent transactions using stolen credit card data.

 

On Saturday, August 27, 2016, an unknown male suspect entered the Luxy Night Club located on Interchange Way in the City of Vaughan. The male suspect had a physical altercation with the victim and subsequently stabbed him with an unknown item. The male suspect left the club, approached another victim in the parking lot and robbed him.

On Friday, August 5, 2016, an unknown female suspect entered a condominium located on Maison Parc Court in the City of Vaughan. The suspect had been unintentionally let into the lobby by a delivery man. The suspect approached the on duty security guard and claimed that a recently delivered package was for her. While the security guard attempted to confirm her story the female suspect grabbed the package, which had contained a Mac Book Pro, and fled into a vehicle described as a white Honda Civic four door.

 

In early July 2016, an unknown male suspect used the victim’s stolen identity to fraudulently obtain credit cards. The suspect made his way from Montreal to Toronto, making frequent cash withdrawals at ATM’s and Walmart stores along the route.

 

On Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at approximately 2:55 p.m., two unknown suspects entered the Graceye Optical located on Yonge Street in the Town of Richmond Hill. Both suspects selected and concealed an unknown quantity of eyewear from various displays and concealed them. The suspects then left the store without attempting to pay for the concealed items.

 

On Friday, April 1, 2016 at approximately 1:55 p.m., an unknown male suspect entered the LCBO store located on Yonge Street in the Town of Richmond Hill. The suspect selected an unknown quantity of alcohol and concealed it. The male was approached by a store employee and asked if he needed to purchase any items. The male suspect immediately left the store without attempting to pay. He was last seen on walking southbound on Yonge Street.

On Friday, July 22, 2016 an unknown female suspect entered the parking lot of a strip plaza located at 3995 Highway 7 East in the City of Markham. The suspect approached the victim and attempted to steal the victim’s purse. The victim screamed and the suspect ran back into a white vehicle which left the parking lot.

 

On Sunday, July 3, 2016 at approximately 7:25 p.m., an unknown male suspect entered the Petro Canada gas station located on Steeles Avenue in the City of Markham. The male suspect pumped an unknown quantity of fuel into a black Ford F150 pickup truck. He made no attempt to pay for the fuel prior to exiting the station. The licence plate attached to the vehicle was also reported stolen from Oshawa, Ontario (Durham Regional Police 16-132296). This plate was later recovered on another vehicle which had its licence plate stolen.

   

On Monday, July 25, 2016 two unknown suspects entered the LCBO store located on Bayview Avenue in the Town of Aurora. The suspects approached the cashier to make a product exchange for a bottle of wine. They attended to the Vodka section where the female suspect selected two bottles of Grey Goose vodka. She was accompanied by the male suspect to an adjacent aisle. The male concealed several bottles down his pants. Both proceeded back to the cashier and advised they wanted their wine back. Neither suspect attempted to pay for the concealed items and exited the store. The suspects were seen entering into a light coloured older model Honda CRV.

On Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at 2:34 a.m., an unknown male suspect entered the underground parking lot of an apartment complex located on Yonge Street in the City of Markham. The unknown male broke into several vehicles and removed various items. The suspect then attended to an adjacent gas station and fraudulently purchased several products using one of the victim’s stolen credit cards.

  

On Thursday, June 16, 2016 two unknown suspects entered the Shoppers Drug Mart located at 10800 Bayview Avenue in the Town of Richmond Hill. The female suspect approached a store employee and distracted her. The male suspect attended to the cosmetics section and concealed a quantity of men’s fragrances into a white plastic bag. The male suspect left the store without paying for the concealed items. Both suspects are responsible for similar distraction thefts in York Region.

 

On July 28, 2016 at approximately 3:45 p.m. an unknown male suspect attended the Fortino’s store on Highway 7 in the City of Vaughan. The suspect selected over $100 worth of meat products and exited the store without paying for the items. Security attempted to stop the suspect but he fled northbound on Ansley Grove Blvd driving a white Dodge Ram pickup.

 

On May 31, 2016 at 5:13 a.m. an unknown male suspect was riding a bicycle in the area of 201 Zenway Blvd. in the City of Vaughan. The suspect entered the building through an open door even though the business was closed at the time. The suspect entered the locker room, broke various locks and accessed employee lockers. It appears nothing of value was removed.

On July 2, 2016 at approximately 11:00 p.m. an unknown male suspect entered the O. Banner store located inside the Pacific Mall in the City of Markham. The suspect gained entry by cutting the locks on the main entrance and once inside used bolt cutters to smash the glass counter and remove a quantity of cellular phones.

On Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at approximately 2:30 p.m. an unknown male suspect entered the JCY Jewellery store located at the Pacific Mall on Steeles Avenue in the City of Markham. The male suspect distracted store employees while two other unknown male accomplices who were also in the store entered the display case through a small glass opening and removed two bracelets. The three suspects left the store without paying for the items.

On Tuesday, June 7, 2016 an unknown female suspect entered the Walmart Supercentre store located on Highway 27 in the City of Vaughan. The suspect selected a stroller from the children’s department and left the store without attempting to pay for the item. Store security attempted to arrest the female suspect but she fled in a silver coloured vehicle being operated by an unknown male driver.

On Friday, May 13, 2016 at approximately 9:50 a.m. an unknown male suspect entered the lobby of an apartment complex located at 40 Baif Boulevard in the Town of Richmond Hill. The suspect remained in the lobby until an unsuspecting resident opened the main door and was followed into the building by the male. Once inside the suspect opened a rear door which allowed a second unknown male suspect entry. The two males then forced entry into an apartment where an unknown quantity of items was stolen. The first suspect was observed carrying a black duffel bag. Both suspects exited from the rear door of the building. Surveillance cameras captured the image of one of the suspects.

On November 22, 2015 at approximately 11:45 a.m. two unknown male suspects attended the Longo’s store on Bathurst Street in the City of Vaughan. The suspects went to the produce section of the store and walked in circles until they noticed an unattended purse in a shopping cart. One suspect removed the purse from the cart and placed it into his pocket. Both suspects left the store laughing at the camera that captured them leaving. A short time later two fraudulent transactions occurred on the victim’s credit card.

 

On May 8, 2016 at 2:30 p.m. two unknown suspects attended the LCBO store on Yonge Street in the Town of Aurora. The two suspects selected five bottles of alcohol and concealed them in the female suspect’s purse. Both suspects then left the store making no attempt to pay.

On Saturday, November 28, 2015 at 8:56 p.m. an unknown female suspect attended the South Sea Pearl store located on Steeles Avenue in the City of Markham. The suspect selected a piece of jade jewelry and then paid for it with a fraudulent Visa card.

On Thursday, May 12, 2016 at approximately 2:50 p.m. an unknown female suspect, accompanied by a young child, entered the E-Z Mart convenience store located on Davis Drive in the Town of Newmarket. The female approached the cashier to purchase an item for the child. While the cashier became distracted the suspect selected a pair of sunglasses and concealed them in her purse. The suspect then left the store without paying for the item.

On Friday, April 1, 2016 two unknown suspects attended the FreschCo grocery store located on Yonge Street in the Town of Newmarket. The male suspect was observed at the checkout counter hovering around an elderly female victim while she paid for items using her debit card. The male then followed her out of the store. A short time later an unknown female suspect was observed making an unauthorized withdrawal using the victim’s card. The victim’s card was subsequently used several times at various locations within Newmarket and the Greater Toronto Area.

 

On Saturday, April 16, 2016 the victim attended the Jack Astor’s Bar and Grill located on East Beaver Creek in the Town of Richmond Hill. While inside the bar the victim’s wallet which contained credit cards was stolen. An unknown suspect subsequently used the victim’s stolen identity to complete several cash advances at a nearby financial institution.

 

 

On April 22, 2016, an unknown male suspect attended the Fortino’s store on Major Mackenzie Drive in the City of Vaughan. While in the store the suspect selected numerous drug products and concealed them in his jacket pocket. The suspect then left the store making no attempt to pay for the concealed items.

On Thursday, March 24, 2016 at approximately 6:00 p.m. two unknown suspects attended the Below the Belt clothing store located in the Vaughan Mills Mall, City of Vaughan. The female suspect walked around in the store while the male suspect entered a change room with several articles of clothing. Upon his exit he did not have all of the original clothing articles and was suspected of concealing them. A sales associate attempted to stop the male but he ran out of the store without paying for the concealed items. He was last seen running through the parking lot in a southwest direction.

 

On April 16, 2016 an altercation occurred at the Fox & Fiddle restaurant located on York Blvd in the Town of Richmond Hill. A fight occurred over a stolen cellphone, and an unknown male suspect struck a male victim on the head with a bottle and punched a female victim twice. These assaults resulted in serious injuries.

On Thursday, March 3, 2016 at approximately 7:00 p.m. an unknown female suspect attended the Longo’s grocery store located on Bayview Avenue in the City of Markham. The unknown female selected several jars of baby formula, placed them in a grocery cart, and walked to the next aisle and concealed them inside a shopping bag. The suspect then left the store without attempting to pay for the concealed items.

On Sunday February 21, 2016 at approximately 8:30 a.m. an unknown male suspect attended the Navita Bakery located on Weston Road in the City of Vaughan. The unknown male ordered a drink, waited about twenty minutes and walked to the rear of the store and forced his way into a back office. He then removed the contents from the safe which included employee pay cheques.

On Tuesday, February 16, 2016 at approximately 3:14 p.m. an unknown male suspect attended the Max convenience store located on Mintleaf Gate in the City of Markham. The male approached the hat rack area, looked back at the sales counter before selecting a hat. The suspect then concealed the hat in his right coat pocket and exited the store without paying for the item.

On Sunday, March 20, 2016 between 4:00 p.m. and 4:40 p.m. an unknown male suspect approached a 15 year old female along the pathway between Holy Family Catholic Elementary School and Gilmore Park which is located near Mullen Drive in the City of Vaughan. The unknown male exposed himself and demanded a sexual act from the female. The female escaped unharmed.

On Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at 8:42 p.m. an unknown female suspect attended the Shoppers Drug Mart located on Highway 7 in the City of Markham. The suspect was accompanied by an unknown Asian male. The male distracted a store employee while the female selected a quantity of high end cosmetic products which she placed in her purse. The female suspect then left the store without paying for the items.

On January 11, 2016 an unknown male suspect attended the Shoppers Drug Mart located in Markville Mall, City of Markham. The suspect selected multiple electric razors, concealed them in a bag he was carrying and left the store making no attempt to pay for the items. This suspect is responsible for other like thefts in York Region.

On Thursday, February 18, 2016 at approximately 1:00 p.m. two unknown male suspects attended a jewelry store located on Martin Grove Road in the City of Vaughan. Suspect #1 requested store staff to remove a men’s 1 carat white gold ring with oval rim stones from the display. While suspect #1 was viewing the ring, suspect #2 grabbed the ring and ran out of the store without making any attempt to pay. Suspect #1 immediately followed suspect #2. It is believed both suspects were working together.

On Monday, March 7, 2016 between 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., an unknown male suspect was observed in the area of McNaughton Road and Major Mackenzie Drive in the City of Vaughan. The suspect forced his way into a side door of a residence located on Glenkindie Avenue. Once inside the home he removed a quantity of jewelry and electronics. The suspect left the area on foot. He was later caught on a surveillance camera at a nearby convenience store.

On Wednesday, January 20, 2016, an unknown male suspect attended the Fortino’s store located on Highway 27 in the City of Vaughan. The suspect selected several meat and cheese products and placed the items in a grocery bag. The suspect then left the store without making any attempt to pay for the items.
